July 2016:- Damian has just released his third exciting solo CD album released by Voxpop called “Something to say”. A collection of 14 songs ,mostly written by Damian and played on the Hammer Dulcimer, Hurdy Gurdy and Harp, with contributions from members of Pressgang and other musician friends. There will be a UK tour in the autumn to showcase songs from the album.

His musical mission is to showcase the Dulcimer and Hurdy Gurdy, and to make them appeal to a wider audience than the folk scene, especially for younger ears. He is a supporter of the movement to protect minority cultures from extinction, as he values variety. He sings small nation language songs such as Irish, Plat Deutsch, and Breton, and is fascinated by cultures meeting and cross fertilising.
This can also be seen in his artwork . He likes to challenge pre-conceptions in music and art, to illustrate new thoughts, to encourage and inspire.
His solo concerts are played on the beautiful hammer dulcimer and hurdy gurdy, along with unaccompanied songs that he encourages audiences to sing along to. He often performs at community events where he introduces audiences to these rare and delightful instruments. He also play historical events and at themed weddings.
Damian is also known for his performances with the influential rock-folk band, PRESSGANG which he founded in 1986. Since then he has toured in over 12 countries, made 8 albums, and played everywhere from television to theatres, from festivals to street fairs.
